Your ring is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! A 2mm band is perfectly proportional, and the hidden stone makes it so unique. Just give it a bit of time. I am sure you will grow to love it!

It looks perfect!!! I get what you mean by “pushing my fingers to the side” feeling, I personally didn’t like it so I went for a straighter band. Your band looks quite domed, I hope you get used to it soon.

It’s hard to tell from your photo, do you have a knife-edge type of band? The thickness of the dome might be feeling a bit weird to you, but you get used to it.

The stone is very pretty. Did it come with a report?

isitalladream :  it is quite large, but I’m very puzzled about why that would make you feel self-conscious? it is beautiful! I’ve never looked at an engagement ring and thought “gross…that thing is huge and tacky…she should’ve gone smaller” except in like, Kim Kardashian’s case.

your ring is large, but elegant. I love the yellow gold against your olive skin, as well!

It is stunning! I think it looks great! once you wear it you will get used to it! It probably seems big now, but after wearing it a bit it will just look normal. Your FH will get used to it too!, Good job on finding a good deal! I love a good deal!

Your oval solitaire is gorgeous!! It definitely does not look to big, and you’ll eventually get used to the size.

isitalladream :  gaudy is absolutely not a word that comes to mind to describe your ring. I think it looks quite delicate on the thin gold band. your FH isn’t the one that has to wear the ring…plus it’s already acquired and paid for so let him gripe about the wedding industry. don’t allow that to taint how you feel about your absolutely STUNNING ring!

ovals face up large for their relative carat size.  I think it’s prefect!
