I don’t understand the question….too big? Never too big.

Ok, Paris Hilton’s ring is maybe too big.

I honestly think  it looks perfect, and I’m not just saying that to be nice.  I’m partial to larger stones ( I have a 2 carat moissy on a 5.5 finger),  but I think even for people who don’t tend towards larger stones it is not so big that it looks awkward on your finger.

It looks kinda big but mostly proportional. Totally okay if you’d want to downsize though!

jellybellynelly :  “I dont think it would pass for a diamond” , I am curious on why you say/think that? πŸ™‚

OP, it’s beautiful! Don’t worry about the size cause it looks perfect! πŸ™‚

Hey Bee, I do think it looks large! But I promise you’ll get used to it πŸ™‚

It’s good you think it’s a bit big at first, because “shrinkage” is definitely real and within a year of wearing it you’ll think it’s perfect size. cool

My husband proposed with a white topaz that was 12x8mm with a halo [read: very large, drew a lot of attention/questions about my stone] and 9 months later when I had an incident and had to replace the ring, I was heartbroken and no longer felt self-conscious or anything about my ring’s sizable center stone as I initially had.

However, when we replaced I decided to go with something smaller, a 1.3ct moissy halo, (1 ct center, .3 ct halo/pave) which I STILL think is a little big! Funny how that works. In a year I’ll think it’s perfect, haha!

jelly91 :  I believe you have a cushion cut. Most of the weight is in the stone belly not facing up so it appears smaller than round of the same Ct. like my 1.4 Ct cushion moissy looks more like a 1ct

It’s absolutely beautiful!  I’m sure it feels very different to be wearing a new ring, give yourself more time to adjust.  Also, you might want to pick a simple / thin wedding band if you are concerned about it being too much.  I actually don’t wear a wedding band because my e-ring is wide and I just didn’t like a band with it.   If the stone is getting in the way of your daily activities and is not practical for regular wear, then start taking a look at other options that let you function.

Enjoy and congrats!
