I have been hunting for dresses for a couple of months and I’ve fallen in love with Sottero & Midgley’s Adorae dress. However, after searching several sites I’ve noticed alot of the pictures I’ve come across of brides wearing that dress are destination weddings (usually on the beach). I love the dress but I’m second guessing it now because I am having a traditional church wedding and I don’t know if that dress fits the bill. Would love to hear your thoughts?

don’t worry about what other people do. get a dress you love.

I actually think the complete opposite. I think its more a church/ ballroom dress. I tried it on, and to me it was way too heavy and satiny/ shiny for my outdoor tropical wedding. So I think its perfect for what you want! Lovely dress and the fit is amazing.

I think it can go either way. I googled it, and it looked great on the beach, but it’s fancy enough to look great in a church, too. Don’t worry, unless it’s a full ballgown, most styles can be worn either place.

The adorae goes both ways! I ordered the Adorae, and I’m not having a destination wedding. So, don’t worry, you will look beautiful in it!

I wore it on the beach but had it altered to be a short dress too with a hidden zipper. When all together it looks completely normal. Check out the short dress for the reception below. I am currently looking to sell mine as well.
