I’m 21 now, but two years ago I got mistaken for 11. My now fiance and I were going onto a military base to pick something up for his dad or something. I had my ID ready to give at the gate and the guy didn’t take it. My fiance was doubled over in his seat while driving. I had no idea why until he pulled off and explained to me that on military bases they don’t card if you appear to be 11 or younger. Seriously?
We got lost and ended up off the base and had to get back on at the same gate I made my fiance pass my ID to the guard, whose eyes bugged out is disbelief that I was in fact 19.

Yes, I look younger than I am. I still get carded in liquor stores!

I’m 20 and my baby sister turns 16 tomorrow and she looks older than me.
Case in point (and I was dressed up so I look older than usual):
I’m blonde. She’s brunette.

Ugh I haven’t had weird things about my engagement but I do get mistaken for a high school student fairly often (I am 23). Three instances in the past couple of months actually…
-Two months ago I was carded at a Rated R movie
-Last week a cashier was trying to get me to apply for a credit card and when I was asking more about it she looked a little closer at me and asked if I was over 18
-Today an employee at my company (who is higher up and doesn’t know me personally) assumed I was the new high school student that started today
