industrybride1314 :  Pssst….Jitterbug isn’t the bride. She’s a bridesmaid. But I do agree. that bride is asking way to much!

Send her a picture of the bottoms to be approved of their colour, then I’d show up topless and European style ✌️ See if she wants a bikini photo shoot then!!

Transportation, hotel accommodations, attire (including shoes) are the responsibility of the bridesmaids, regardless of whether or not it’s a destination wedding. Asking for them to pay for a separate rehearsal dinner dress, professional hair, make-up, mani/pedi, special jewelry, and swimsuit is too much. If the bride wants matching jewelry,mani/pedis etc., she should consider gifting those to her bridesmaids.

jitterbugg :  Well, that’s better I guess. Honestly though, I would have bowed out of being a Bridesmaid or Best Man altogether. She is asking WAY too much and my money says she’s not done yet. She seems like the type to find a few more ways to spend your money on her. Good for you for saying no to the swimsuit shoot though — I know that had to be hard. Hopefully, she won’t ask for more, but if she does, at least you have practice saying No and it should be easier the next time. (Also, stick with your No, no matter how she changes the swimsuit shoot. The whole thing is ridic, don’t let her pressure or guilt you into doing it.)

jitterbugg :  Yeah but why? She’s presumably doing some beautiful bridesmaid photos in the dresses, so why does she need a cellphone swimsuit shoot on top of that?

Stick to being unavailable that day, and unavailable to be photographed in any swimsuit. If she wants extra bridesmaid photos, she get them taken while you’re getting ready on the morning of the wedding. Her obsession with a swimsuit shoot, even a toned down one, is bridezilla-ish.
