I’d prefer to go first just in case things run late!

I am first in the hair chair and last in the makeup chair.

Usually you wouldn’t be the first or the last. I’ve heard they’ll do one or two before you, because if they start running out of time, at least it’s “only” a bridesmaid 😉

How much time are they allotting? My one hair and makeup artist is doing four hairs and two makeups (I’m letting my BMs decide on their own if they want anything done, and what), and the scheduler slotted her for 9-1.

I was last and LOVED it!  I had 4 girls and only one hairdresser and one makeup artist. I sat there relaxed and had a couple glasses of wine, my nerves were cured and then it was MY turn!Cool

Oh see, now… first for hair, last for makeup actually makes a lot of sense!

I would like to go last but if things are running behind schedule I might jump ahead.  We are doing hair and makeup at the venue so I’m hoping that will make it a little more flexible.

I agree: first hair: then makeup… I’m doing both myself and will probably start on hair hourssss before the final touches to my makeup. It does make sense that way. Also: I’ve never heard of the bride going first or last… but more towards the middle/first than anything else.

I have one girl doing hair and one doing make up and I know I am getting my makeup done last. Not sure about hair though. It does make me nervous waiting until the end!

Also, I just thought of this, but it would probably make sense to let someone go after you so you have time to put your dress on and that stuff.

I went last because I wanted to have the pro photos of getting it done.

We have two makeup and hair artists.  I’m having one do both my hair and makeup and we scheduled me as his last slot but alloted 2 hours for me.

A related question: do you usually get hair done first and then makeup? For some reason, it makes more sense to get my hair done last. But maybe that’s because I always do my makeup and then my hair.
