It all depends if you feel as though everything will go good together and that is what you prefer then go for it!!!!

Honestly, I hate those colored vests almost as much as satin bridesmaid dresses with contrast-color sashes.   It is a prom look, for sure.

My guys are wearing the color vest. They are darker colors….I dont think they are promish….but then again….its how I seen my wedding…so I dont care if they think it is promish either…plus the FH is the one that picked it all out!

@sailor: I completely agree. Thanks to my brother’s wedding 4 years before mine. His guys wore all black and looking amazing. We did the same. Honestly, I think it looks cheesy and prom-like when I see bright colored vests on men in wedding. Darker ones are better, but that’s just me. Here’s what our groomsmen looked in like black only vests.

My guys are wearing colored vests. I do think it looks kind of promy but its a darker color, and as clean as all black looks my girls dresses are all black and I really didnt want a funeral feel to my wedding day lol.

I like colored vests fine. But black is great too. It just depends on the feel/look you are going for, and neither is right or wrong but entirely personal preference.

I don’t like colored vests with a tux. I love vests and I think color or patterned ones are awesome by themselves but in a tux I do feel it looks promish. But then I don’t really like the look of the “standard wedding”. Red BMs, white and red roses, tuxes, shiny shoes, giant bouts, cascading curly hair, poofy dress—it’s just not my thing. I’d feel like I was playing “Dress my Barbie Wedding”.

Can’t stand those colored vests and ties.  I agree it looks too promy…circa 1997.  no thank you.

I like the look.  It is just a nice pop of colour that pops out from under the jacket.

Darling Husband was in white though.

If you’re already thinking about changing them then do. There are pros to both sides. But I think from the sound of it, the black vests will be a great complimant to the rich colors you chose.

I don’t think its Promish.. My Maid/Matron of Honor is wearing a tangerine satin dress and my heels are the same color while my husband and his best man are wearing the satin tangerine vest and tie with an Ivory suit.. Its gonna look sharp esp with us all on the beach the colors are great.. Good luck=)
