I´m considering wearing a birdcage veil, not the netting ones, they are beatiful but most of our guests are pretty traditional, and I don´t think they are ready for such a non traditional wedding (tanzanite engagement ring, our daughter as a flower girl, ivory mermaid wedding dress, …).
I love the tulle bircage veils:
I´m seriously considering this idea, but, I don´t know if is going to look well on my face, do any of you know what face type/shape this kind of veil goes better with?
I forgot to tell you, my dress is covered in tulle with a bit of lace, so I think it would complement perfectly.

I think birdcages are universal. Since you can pin them however you want, you can adjust to fit your face type.
But if you have a round face, I wouldn’t do a big poofy one, I’d do something that lies closer to my face.

I agree w/ mrsleopard, I think anyone can pull off a birdcage veil it just depends on the tulle weave and where you place it 🙂

Thanks! I think they look so flatering on every bride I´ve seen!
Oh, God, I love them more and more ever time.
Do you think it will look good with this dress?
The dress needs serious alterations and a slip, but you get the point

I think it will look great 🙂

I have a tulle birdcage veil! I am very excited about it. The netting looked awful on me. It is really all about placement as Frenchis said. Have your hairdresser manipulate it with bobby pins.
