I thought the difference was that corsages were more of something that went on a wrist band or something and were worn on the wrist  while bouts were smaller flowers that were pinned to a lapel.

I think the bout is more scaled down, less frilly.   Corsages seem to be more full and girly, a bout is more streamlined, usually one main flower and a little accent around it.  Just do a google image search and you will see.

I agree, I think corsages are usually worn on the wrist, and bouts are pinned to a tux jacket or something,

Bouts are typically smaller (3 flowers) and a few leaves.  Corsages can be pinned on or worn on the wrist (I believe the pin-on are less expensive).  Corsages typically use more flowers and filler than a bout.

@souliganprincess:  Corsages can either go on the wrist or be pinned on, but are in general a little bigger still than a bout.  Or “rounder” for lack of a better term.

Generally a bout has less “going on” but of course this isn’t some rule.

@MsInterpret:  Thanks – hence my saying “I thought…” – totally wasn’t sure.
