I was walking around the city and kept seeing people with tons and tons of peonies. I though that was strange until I realized why… both Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s have peony bunches for under $10! I wouldn’t be suprised if other grocery stores are priced similarly. They normally are more like $15-$20 for a small bunch of 3. I saw 5 for $9.99 and even 5 for $6.99! Is it the end of the growing season and they have to get rid of them or is there a glut? If you want to used them for your bouquet or DIY arrangement look at your grocery store!

Peonies are a Spring flower, so yup, they’re likely all dying now.

Splodge2003 : that happened to my mom… she moved the plant and it didn’t flower doe 2 years in a row. They take a while to get comfortable. Also, I think they need a cool period or else they won’t bloom. So if you’re to far south and it stays warm all winter it could give you problems.
