So my rehearsal didn’t really go well…my “coordinator” whom I paid $500 just to organize the rehearsal and day of had not a clue! Some ppl in my party told me they were standing on the wrong side. She had te girls on the right because she said they had to hold their bouquets.
frustrated!!!

Traditionally, the bride stands on the left side (to free up the guy’s right hand in case he needed to fight off some chump :P), so according to that, the bridesmaids would be on the left with you.

@LTD418: Yes that’s right. Facing the front, the bride has the bridesmaids to her left and the groom to her right.
That’s for most western Christian (or Christian tradition) ceremonies. The only exception I’m aware of is Jewish ceremonies, which are the other way around. If there was someone from a Jewish background, that might have been the source of the confusion.

I’m standing on the opposite side to tradition because that’s the side I’d prefer to be photographed more (due to my hair part that’s where all the action will be hair wise, I have a cowlick on the otherside and I look meh when photographed from that side).
My celebrant says this happens pretty often.
