Don’t worry, they might be a little concerned at first, but they’ll know a yeast infection when they see it. And hey, at last she’ll get some medicine to treat this round of it!

But it could be more serious than a yeast infection…better to know now than later. I hope all is well. I am sure they won’t think anything negative.

Yeast infections require medical attention, if you have a childyou need to make sure she gets proper medication so she doesnt end up scratching herself until she BLEEDS.

@emersynsmommy35: Not to get preachy here, but you shouldn’t have extra meds at home for a yeast infection. If you do, I’m assuming that means you only give her the meds when it seems to be flaring up. When the doctor gives you medicine for something like that all of the medicine needs to be taken until it is gone, even if the infection appears to be gone it can come back for too easily if she’s not finishing her medication. Just some advice from someone who has been there (different kind of infection, but works the same) and gotten lectured by my pharmacy manager father for not finishing the meds…and he was right.

@LessIsMoore: a small child will scratch almost anything until it bleeds.

My sons father is JUST like this! He blames me for my sons skin problems but I’m the one ALWAYS taking him to the allergist and dermatologist! My poor baby scratches his feet till they bleed… *in his sleep* and I’ve tried everything. The doctors told me if he hadn’t grown out of it by 5 he wasn’t ever going to… he’s almost 7 and still has super dry skin and eczema, my heart breaks for him- I never even seen it before he was born. =( I feel your pain.
