I’ve been seeings lots of posts lately on the bee with the title “show me rings between .50-.70 carats” or “shoud me rings between .7-1 carats”, etc. Do any bees not know the carat size? Fiance, of course, told me when we got engaged over a year ago, but I never remember and (ducks down to avoid items thrown at me) don’t really care? I definitely don’t know any of the other c’s, unless I looked into it on the paperwork (and probably wouldn’t know what a lot of it means).
We recently took the ring to get it’s 6 month check up (omg sounds like a bebe!) and I looked at the carat # so I could know which board to post pics of based on size, but I’ve already forgotten the exact #.

I really have no idea of any specs on mine! Fiance bought it offline from Zales. I know it’s tiny? lol

Mines an heirloom. I know the metal is platinum because it has a stamp. I’m pretty sure it’s like .3-.5 by looking at other peoples rings! Idk color but it’s bright white and I don’t see any inclusions

I just know that my center stone is around .45 or something. Have no idea about the colour or the total including side stones.
I don’t really care, I just like sparkily things. lol

I knew when Darling Husband bought it for me, but it wasn’t something I cared to memorize. I love my ring for what it is, not for it’s specs!

Skittles131: I don’t remember mine, either. I know it’s somewhere between 1ct and 1.5 ct… And that’s only because I had the center stone of my previously three stone ring reset into a solitaire setting, and remember it being discussed. The side stones were made into solitaire earrings, and I also don’t remember exactly what ct size they were.

Mine isn’t a diamond, so it doesn’t have a lot of the specs that people post about here! Even the size I’m not sure on. I think it’s a 5mm, but then I thought maybe we got a 5.5mm or a 6mm? I can’t remember! I could look it up, but I don’t care enough.

Skittles131: I only know the ct of the center stone b/c it belonged to my mom. As far as color, grade, clarity, I have no idea. The setting? Other than it’s white gold, IDK. Some people are so fixated on the specs! The post that popped up below this says, “I lost weight and my diamond looks bigger! Guess the carat!” Um…

I have no idea and Fiance doesn’t remember either. I only found out its 9ct white gold last weekend when a lady in a jewellery shop looked at it to match wedding bands to it. Who cares though? I love it 🙂

Sometimes I feel like this is the equivalent of the car forums Darling Husband looks at where they’re trying to guess auto parts.

I do not know much about mine. I know it’s just over 1.5 carats, and my fiance told me he went smaller then we originally looked at b/c he went higher grade on the other C’s, but I really don’t know much about diamonds. I couldn’t even describe my ring in proper terms. All I know is that I love it and it looks great on my finger. I’ve never even asked to see the specs sheet…what difference does it make?

Me! I have no idea. It was my fiance’s mom’s engagement ring. I never thought to ask when we had it resized and since it was bought almost 40 years ago no one has any paperwork on it anymore.

I didn’t know the stats when Darling Husband first proposed, but he gave me the receipt/certification so that I could register it for insurance.

Skittles131: I picked out a ring I liked and that’s what my fiance got me. No clue what the specs are. It’s cheaper and I could probably guess if I had some comparisons but it has no significance to me.

I have no idea about any of my ring specs except for the size that I wear lol!
