…you’ve booked your vendors already?
A radio station by me does a huge bridal show every January. I got engaged in April and basically have everything planned for my July wedding – but, I’ve always wanted to go to a bridal show. It seems like fun and something you can only do once in your life!
Is there any point to going if I have most of the major stuff booked (venue, photographer, hair/makeup, cake, officiant etc.)??

No… I think they’re overcrowded and irritating. ESPECIALLY when you already have everything you need.

I say why not? It may give you new ideas for things you haven’t finalized! Plus, it’s just fun to walk around and feel bridal for the day. I say – do it!

It is kind of fun to see what they have to offer…they are also cake samples and free food! But I’d based it on the cost…some of them can be pricey and if you already have everything booked, it might be a waste of money.

@weatherbug: You can win contests! Take self adhesive return address labels for entries- saves so much time writing out your name and address.
Also use an email address- hotmail or gmail- something you reserve only for entering contests etc. That way your regular email is not inundated by vendors.

Why not? I would just to check it out!

@weatherbug: Why not! Check it out… would recommend you go on the last day… and during the last 3 hours or so. Less people and easier to walk around and see everything 🙂

Sure. You should go. You might win some cool prizes.
Eat all the food you can 🙂

@weatherbug: I went to one just to go to one! There are always lots of draws to enter, and always a fashion show at the ones here. Its more just about feeling like a bride for a little bit than anything 🙂

Ughh I hate bridal shows! Too crowded, vendors are too pushy and everyone is trying to get your email address.

@weatherbug: I think they’re annoying…
I have a friend who won two honeymoons at one. Two.

@weatherbug: there is no point but they are fuN! you should go.
i went to one last Jan (8mos. before my wedding) and it was so much fun and coincidentally it was held in the place where I was getting married! So I just had to go, we got free drinks and food out of it, so why not?

Yeah – prizes!! Fiance and I just went to one and we won a $50 gift card to a Taco Truck. We have no use for it for the wedding, but it’ll make for some nice (free) date nights!
