M Fiance and I will probably have to wait 3 weeks…and fit it in between his work-grad school schedule. I want to go right away but well probably take 2 days after the wedding for a mini moon.

DH and I didn’t have enough time for a honeymoon and just took a “mini-moon” for 3 days somewhere close by.  Honestly, we were SO EXHAUSTED after the wedding, we were so glad we didn’t have to pack and fly off somewhere immediately.  I needed like a good 24 hours of vegging to even be ready to do anything fun and that’s without jetlag or anything.  DH actually got sick from all the stress and exhaustion.  Haven’t had a chance to go somewhere far and exotic yet, but its totally fine!  Give yourself a break, recover, and then go somewhere fun later when you’re good and ready for it!

@mhackney21: Nope. I’ve got class the Tuesday after my wedding. But we both have off that Monday, so we’ll have a long weekend to at least recouperate.

We are going away for the weekend for our mini moon. I am 8 months pregnant so we can’t travel far. However we are going to save up and go on a cruise for an actual honeymoon on our one year anniversary. I am happier with waiting a year and doing something special rather than just taking a week off now because I am “supposed to” or it is “expected”. I am actaully looking forward to being pampered for a week next year…lol.

We are having a JOP ceremony due to finances. So a HW is defintely not in the works for now. I don’t think we can do a mini moon either. Once we are back on our feet we will book in ASAP.

We left for the honeymoon the day after our wedding and it sucked. We were emotionally drained, crabby and horrible people for that entire week.

I really wish we had waited to take our honeymoon!

I hadn’t even thought of the Honeymoon yet! We’re in the middle of the immigration process – so I’m not even sure we’ll be able to afford it. Honestly, I didn’t even think it was such a big deal to wait. I think I’d prefer to go at my own leisure or plan to go during weather that I like. I wouldn’t worry too much if I were you, you are in good company, it seems a lot of Bees postpone their Honeymoon.

We are. Our wedding is May 5th, and we are planning on going to Europe the following year. With the wedding, and buying a house we just can’t afford one right after the wedding, but I’m ok with that. On the plus side, in July, his parents rented a freakingly awesome vacation house for a big family getaway, which I’m looking forward too. Not really a honeymoon, but it will be a fun vacation, so that is something to look forward to.
