Those leetle cutesy signs for starters. The ones that are artlessly chalked with homilies about “Taking A Seat, Not A Side” and the like. Oh, and an awful lot of so-called “vintage” which isn’t really vintage anything. Especially the utterly overdone photo filters that were used in the picture editing process.

Mason jars.  Signs.  Sparkler exits.

I don’t even think this is a pinterest thing, just a… thing… but we had trouble finding a photographer that didn’t over-filter images. To the point where the sky was a funny color, or everyone looks like you put them through an instagram filter. True color, true black and white, that’s all I wanted. I just feel like the trendy filters are going to look weird in a few years.

Honestly though, while some things are overdone ON pinterest, I have been to two weddings this year and none of them had the pinterest staples. Unless you consider a sparkler exit a pinterest staple, but I’ve been seeing those at weddings since I was a child, and I’m old(er) so that’s not really a pinterest “thing”.

Yes all the signs.  The “choose a seat not a side” makes me gag.  Also all the signs they give the ring bearer/flower girls.  Mason jars.

Those are the ones that stand out to me.

@regit45:  There are a lot of things that are “over done”. That’s what trends are all about. But, if someone likes something (over done or not) then so be it.

Two words: Mason jars

I don’t know if it’s even pinterest’s fault, though. I have a  friend who is NOT on pinterest and planned a mason jar-filled baby shower this weekend.

Haha another one for “choose a seat, not a side” and engagement pictures with signs that say “she stole my heart” and “so I stole his last name.” And pictures of proposals, mason jars, bird cages, etc.

@Hyperventilate:  Amen. Pinterest as a whole is overdone. It’s all the same crap.
