(Closed) Is there anything Im supposed to do with my wedding dress after alterations?

@beeswax:  Often they’ll steam it for you after alterations, but it may need to be done again closer to the date if it goes into storage for an extended period.

@beeswax:  Just a gentle way to get our wrinkles.  As for whether it’ll be an issue it really depends on the fabric.  Mine was organza, so I took it out the night before fluffed it and it just puffed back up, but I’d imagine a really clean line satin dress or something might get wrinkled in a garment bag for a couple weeks.

Also I think it helps get rid of a musty, been-in-storage-too-long smell. But that can be prevented by tossing a dryer sheet at the bottom of the garment bag (I wouldn’t let it touch the cloth since I’m not sure how it would effect it, epecially being in contact with it for long periods of time).
