rock music. like the crazier kinds. like metal, punk etc. i was a strictly top 40 and light rock girl when we met and he was very much the opposite and really liked a lot of bands that werent so mainstream or were on the up and up. He is one of those people that like a band like 2 years before you see em on MTV lol. He gets so mad when people all start liking a band he has liked for years. I am actually more into his kind of music now than i am the top 40 stuff i was once so attached to. I still like it and my music taste is all over the place really but I have to say, the music that i ahve gotten into because of him is probably in the number one spot.

Country and bluegrass music. Yup, he brought out my hill-billy twang side!

Hip Hop. I hated hip hop but he introduced me to some more underground stuff and it’s really good!

Ugh, he got me into electronic/house music. I gave him so much crap about it the first few months we were dating, then I found myself not trying to change the song constantly. Then before I knew it I was turning it on myself. He also got me into World of Warcraft. I already considered myself a “gamer” but not nearly as hardcore as I am now. We play together a lot. I also thought Family Guy was stupid until we started watching it every night.

I’ve gotten him into a lot of good tv shows too since we’ve been together. I kept hoping he’d get into sushi with me too, but I’ve given up on that cause 😛

@claireos: Darling Husband made me a Sushi lover too! Now I’ve surpassed him as far as tastes go. I love eel and he won’t touch it with a ten foot pole! lol

Grilled cheese and tomato. How I lived without it I’ll never know.

Star Trek. I hated it growing up. It’s my fiance’s all time favorite show. When he first started watching it, it was like torture, then I started watching it all the time even when he’s not around.

For him, bell peppers and onions. I cook with them a lot and love them. He insisted that he hated them, and pulled them out of everything without tasting them. Then I added them into some dishes a little bit at a time without telling him. He loved all of it, so I told him. Now, I make stuffed bell peppers for us!

Aha, just thought of something – I used to refuse to eat eggs any other way than scrambled or hard boiled.  Fiance finally made me see sense, and now I love them poached and over easy.  Still won’t eat them completely fried/ over hard, though – gross.  😛

FISH. I hated it, wouldnt get  near it, wouldn’t try it. One day he made me try Chilean Sea-Bass and I *loved* it. Now I also eat salmon, tilapia, and white fish. -_-

Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Full Metal Alchemist:  I’d heard from my sister that both were great shows, but I just refused to watch them.  I can’t say that I hated either, I just didn’t care to sit down and find out if I’d like them. Darling Husband forced me to watch them both and I was quickly addicted!
