Is there something off about my ring?

Looks gorgeous to me. Upon close inspection (and only because I’m scrutinizing it for the purpose of this post haha), it seems like the center stone is set crooked?

The center stone appears crooked.

@coffeecoolatta:  You’re ring is stunning. The proportion for the stones are perfect. I definitely see the gap on the right side and the band is a bit thick for this setting in my opinion. I’d have those 2 things fixed and then you’re good to go!

I agree that the center stone appears to be crooked, and I can see the little gap on the right, both of which would drive me insane. I think making the band just a little thinner would look better too, maybe 1 mm thinner. I don’t think the jeweler did a good job setting this ring and should redo it entirely at no charge.

ETA: at one point I had my e-ring and wedding bands soldered together. I got it back and it was not lined up correctly. It was only off by a tiny tiny bit, but it was not right and I had them redo it.

Like PPs said, your center stone is a tiny bit wonky.

But I only noticed it in the really close up photo – the other ones look totally gorgeous to me. I don’t think anyone but you will notice it.

That being said – it would drive me crazy once I saw it, so I think it’s totally fine to ask the jeweler to fix it!

To be honest, the first thing that I noticed was that it doesn’t look all even. They set your main stone crooked and its leaning towards the left.  Very noticeable in my opinion and that is probably the reason why there is a gap on the right side.  You need to be careful because that could mean the diamond is looser since its not sitting in the setting the right way.  Your jeweler should fix that free of charge.  I’m actually surprised they sold it like that.

I absolutely love your ring! It’s beautiful! I’m also getting a three stone ering!

To me the centre stone seems to tilt ever so slightly to the left and there is a small gap in the setting, maybe that throws it off balance? If the top right prong could sit higher up on the stone it would probably set the stone straight into the setting.

Well, I for one, LOVE your ring!  I think it is beautiful as it is and I love a slightly wider band.  I think it makes the ring look more substantial and looks really elegant.  If you love it, don’t change it. Maybe just having the centre diamond adjusted slightly will make all the difference.

Just came in here to say how striking your ring is–I just didn’t want to let the post go by without commenting! I personally like the thicker band, but I know it’s not what’s in right now. I can see where it might be too much with an additional band. My ring is pretty thick like that, but I just never wore a band with it, so it wasn’t a problem.

I think maybe the center stone is just slightly crooked? That’s all I notice, and that leaves a gap on the right of it.

I wouldn’t thin the band, it’s perfect for the stones. Just get the crooked fixed.
