We are having a photobooth and none of our guests have been to a wedding with one. It will be so much fun!

Ooooh, champagne before the ceremony- that’s unique and fun!

We are having a touch rugby game at the end of our reception.  Fiance & I both played rugby in college and we met at a rugby game.  It is obviously an important part of our relationship and our lives 🙂  It will be a cute photo op to have a shot of us… me in my dress, holding it up, with my cleats showing, and him in his tux jacket but rugby shorts and cleats.

@DaneLady:  can’t wait to see pictures!

We’re not really having anything super unique but we’re doing the whole rustic vibe which we haven’t seen at any of the weddings we’ve been to.

Most of the food at our wedding has been either grown in our family’s garden, caught by family or a friend (fish and crab), or from a family farm I spent summers working on. Other things such as cupcakes and rolls for dinner will be made by family as well.. I guess I’m just excited it’s a group effort which is a bit different especially because we are growing and catching our own food.

I don’t know if that was the unique you were looking for, but I feel it’s different than most weddings I’ve been to!

Oh! We are also doing a photobooth, but it’s a homemade one. The back drop is going to be a really cool quilt that my great grandma used to have on her bed (she is long passed away) that she passed down to me. It’s a really special quilt and I’m so happy to have it apart of the wedding some how!

@Missloveknot:  No, I’m going to play in my dress, but only for like 2 minutes.  I know beyond a shadow of a doubt, that even though they intend for this to be a little touch game, it inevitably will turn into a normal, full on tackle, rugby game.  Rugby boys + booze = someone is about to get bloody!

I love unique touches at weddings, but I don’t think that mine is going to have anything crazy unique about it! That said, I am super excited because we are having a surprise fireworks show in the middle of the reception (the band leader will invite guests to go outside just before it starts). Agh. Can’t wait!

@hiroshymatetrastar:  I love the roses!  Very pretty.  I’ll probably be carrying my fencing sabre instead of a bouquet.  We met in a fencing club.

Hmm, there’s a lot of things I’m excited about. Dancing the Waltz is one. That’s not unique where I live, but will be different for my side of the family.

I can’t wait to see how people like my DIY programs, which are hilarious. I took pictures of everyone in the bridal party and defaced them in Paint (example — I drew a mustache and unibrow on my sister, and added a clipart wine glass to the MOH) and then the descriptions of how we came to know these people are also hilarious. I’ve kept them completely secret — only Fi has seen them (and he loves them, because I used a completely ridiculous picture of us in it). I hope everyone gets a laugh!

@hiroshymatetrastar:  Those are gorgeous! And really different from a lot of other paper flowers I’ve seen – is there a tutorial you can share?

We had a nacho bar as a late night snack. It was awesome! And it was the good nachos like the kind you get when you are wasted from Taco Bell. It was a huge hit!
