So basically my Fiance and are downsizing to a smaller apartment and we will need a sleeper sofa to make this move work. All of my experience with sleeper sofas have led me to believe that they are all so uncomfortable with thin lumpy mattresses. I am hoping there is a unicorn sleeper sofa out there that will change my current opinion. I’ve noticed that Jennifer convertibles has 3 different types of mattresses you can select that vary in price and I’m sure comfort as well. Has anyone tried one? Does anyone have any recommendations? We are hoping for a sleeper sectional. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

honestly…Ikea. They don’t have those annoying bars that always dig into your back through the lumpy mattress. They also have one that is a sectional. We tried them all out the other day (we’r ein the market too) and I’m 99% sure that we’re going with Ikea since they are comfy and easy to operate.

Really? I’ll have to check them out too. Thanks!

I have a sleeper sofa from rooms to go. It doesn’t have the bar that digs into your back and the mattress is pretty thick

It’s expensive, but American Leather company makes some that are fantastically comfortable. Crate and Barrel carries some of them, as do a few other similar stores. We have one and I slept on it for about 2 months while my SO was recovering from major surgery (I move around a lot in my sleep), and I never felt like I was sacrificing sleep quality. It’s got a memory foam mattress and no kidney-bar of doom. It’s also super easy to unfold/fold back up, which is a plus.
