(Closed) Is there such thing as a dress thats too formal for the groom to wear a suit?

Depends on the suit. I googled the dress, it’s pretty! But I think the right suit could stand up to it.

Some people might disagree, but I think it is fine.  My dress was very formal and Darling Husband wore a suit.  But I write my own rules.  😉

I think you should do whatever you want to do and it will work! Just make sure it’s a well-tailored, classy suit, and you’re good to go!

I have a fancy dress (not an elaborate ballgown, but definitely fancy) and my Fiance is wearing a suit.  I say do what you two like best!

A nice suit on your groom is perfectly acceptable. Be sure he is happy and comfortable so he can relax…then his expression for the photos will turn out great!

Yes, Princess Diana’s dress is way to formal for a suit.  I thought the suit style is dictated by the formality of the wedding and the time of the wedding.  Although, we are having a later in the day wedding and my Fiance is still wearing a suit.
