I think that looks cool.  Is the wedding before or after Halloween?  Either way i’ve never seen something like that at a wedding.

I am torn.. I voted no at first, however it is a fun idea and if all of your guests are local and they can take them home, it is a fun and original idea!  And it could be a fun display if you stick LED candles in them towards the end of the night as people are leaving…

I think it’s cool, as long as no one will get offended by them! (Might be biased — ILs [but not DH] are witnesses, so they are SUPER AGAINST anything halloween)

I agree with the LEDs, that would be so freakin cool. I’d love it (as long as it was a non-scary carving Wink)

I’m on a fence about this…I’m voting “no” but could totally see how this could be a fun thing!

I’d love it! Plus if they make them it’ll mean more to the guests – Maybe they could do different designs to match the guest personalities.

Very cute and different, but I’m voting no because I never like favors that people have to “do” something with, i.e., find a place for in their home.  Picture frames, measuring cups, statues, etc.  I like food favors so we’re doing caramel apples for fall!

I think it’s cute because it’s something they do together. But honestly I’ll likely just throw it out because it’ll be a big dust collector.

I LOVE The idea- every wedding I go to has similar favors and I absolutely love when couples go outside the box and do something that really shows off their personalities!

@sorrycharlie:  My family are witnesses too and we’re getting married on October 29!! It’s super hard to not get very halloweenie, but I would have LOVED to give our pumpkins as favors.

I actually think it would be better if you just gave out uncarved pumpkins.  Then people can do what they like with them – carve them, make pumpkin seeds, paint them, etc.

I love Halloween, but I vote no. One fun idea they could maybe do is homemade candles in Autumn colors and scents? I know people are on the fence about candles, but I make them every fall for friends and family and they are always a huge hit, especially when I put things like candy corn and leaves in them. People use them too, and ask for more!
