Ok my husband and I are ttc but he works away for 7 days a fortnight. This makes it hard since I ovulate while he is away. I am thinking about flying out to see him during the weekend of my fertile week as it will be right before I ovulate so we should get good timing. He won’t be in an actual town or anything, just a mining camp/mining town. I know they will be fine with me going there as I used to work there too so will be good to see everyone again but I feel crazy going to such lengths to ttc. dh is fine with it and thinks it’s a good idea, but what do you bees think?

@Charlie89: Is he always away when you ovulate? How fast do you want to conceive (ie are you older, or have medical risks)? If yes, I would definitely consider it.
I would also consider it if I just wanted to fly out and visit my husband. But not if it would be a huge amount of money – I’d rather save that for the baby.

Well…. considering I live in MA and am considering flying half way around the world to Taiwan to meet up with my husband on busniess there for 2 weeks if I happen to ovulate while hes there….

@Charlie89: Why not.
If your Husband is happy with the idea and the cost of flights isn’t an issue, I vote yes.

I would do it–Especially if the flight is cheap!

go for it, i guess? as long as you won’t be too upset if your ovulation date changes

@Polygon: we aren’t older and no fertility issues ( that I can tell). I’m impatient though lol like a lot of other women on here and want a baby like yesterday haha
the flights are pretty cheap and I have the option of buying them the day before I flight so I can work around ovulation. Any time within 3 days of 0 would be ideal though.
Unfortunatley is always gets home the day after I ovulate which is a bummer and I don’t like the idea of changing my cycle using birth control. over time due to cycle lengths I think he will eventually be home when I ovulate but that probably won’t work till the end of the year

Why not? And you would get to see him and everyone else so it’s not like a wasted trip!

Go for it! I find it kinda sexy and romantic.
