It would be neat but expensive….they can get pricey. And they wont match. But it would still be nice.

I think it would be AWESOME!  You could use them as favors too!

Very cool idea, but could get a little pricey unless you start now at flea markets, etc and pick them up a little at a time.  They double as favors though, so if you were planning on favors as well as DIY budget for napkins…you just combined the two.

No, that would not be dumb.

Not a dumb idea, creative!

However, I would vote for vintage hankies as favors rather than napkins. Unless you want to keep all the hankies afterward? Guests aren’t going to take a soiled napkin with them so you’ll just be left with a bunch of hankies to launder.

I guess if I was going to spend the time and money for something so special I’d want them to take it with them as a favor rather than leave it behind.

I’m in full favor of vintage hankies for everything- I used them as save the dates! Just seems maybe not the best choice for napkins (like I said unless you wanted to be able to keep them all).

Yeah, I think they can either be napkins OR favors, not both. Who really wants to take home a dirty napkin? (Even if it’s super pretty ;))

Hey my wedding date is almost the same as yours! May 12 2012:)

I think that would be stylish of you to do:) Also if you collected vintage silver candle holders for the tables!

It sounds neat…but not very absorbtive. And as far as favors go, would people really want to take a soiled napkin/handkerchief home with them? Probably not!

I agree with @babylou:  that they cant be both favors and napkins. But considering how much they cost you’re better off giving them as favors.
