Sounds fab!! Get a sound/healing bowl and some meditation cushions, then clear a space in the middle of the room to bliss out and do yoga! If you really want to splurge, you can book a masseuse to come to your house. They bring the table and set up wherever you need!

Sounds like a good idea. If I were you, I would try to make it a sexy experience too instead of just intellectual 😉 If it’s something you are interested in, you could also give each other massages with relaxing aromatic oils, some incence and run a candle-lit bubble bath together to wash off. Totally up to you.

appleblossom217 :  I think that sounds awesome! Maybe paint the walls a soothing color (if you can) and like PP said leave space in the middle for yoga and meditation. Maybe getting him a yoga mat and a yoga book for the bookshelf to give him somewhere to start if he doesn’t currently practice.

Singing bowls originated in Tibet and are used to focus your energies during your meditiation practice! Also, they sound lovely:

I have hip pain from sitting at a desk all day, so it helps to prop up the base of my spine when meditiating. This is close to the one I use:

My yoga studio has these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LATPHTS/ref=asc_df_B01LATPHTS5306440/?tag=hyprod-20&creative=395009&creativeASIN=B01LATPHTS&linkCode=df0&hvadid=216527880203&hvpos=1o4&hvnetw=g&hvrand=282543876340042117&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9011801&hvtargid=pla-351077890511

Great idea! Very practical and thoughtful, and since you said he’s not materialistic, I think he will LOVE this gift.

love it!  Adding to the pile of awesome ideas for you to choose from:

if you guys are in to yoga, buying some yoga DVDs and a small flatscreen TV that can play DVDs (they’re *so* cheap nowaday!  It’s insane..)

yoga blocks, yoga straps, and foam roller for stretching.

If you guys are doing yin/meditative yoga you may also want some blankets in there (since you spend a lot of time not moving).  “yoga blankets” are popular at studios, but any blanket will do of course.  A space heater is a good alternative.

This sounds like an amazing idea that you’re SO will appreciate. I can tell you’ve put a lot of thought into it, and it’s the thoughtful gifts that make the best gifts. The gift recipient can always tell!

A salt lamp might be another good idea to add, if you’re still looking for ideas.
