I live in the bay area VERY EXPENSIVE place to live. ANd for $2500 we get the 1-13×10 40p Fine art album with 80images (our album) 2 photographers on our wedding day, and unlimited hours on our wedding day (12pm-12am approx) and 5 5x7photos. he offered all that you had PLUS engagement photos for $3600. we are really working the economy here and pitted photographers against eachother. He has been in bussiness 20 plus years doing weddings and has worked many weddings at my church.

It really depends on the talent of the photographer…but assuming that the photog is good, that seems really reasonable. Would you be able to make additional prints yourself from the DVD/image files?

I wouldn’t call it a good deal because you could certainly get a lower price, but it definitely falls into the “reasonable” category.  If his portfolio looks great and you feel like he matches up with want you want out of your photos/video than you’re not going to be overpaying considering the area.  Basically, if his portfolio shows high quality, he’s not overcharging–but if you want to pay less, then you can likely find someone who costs less (if that is the case, I’d look into photographers based in south Jersey or even Philly-area…usually same great quality but way less expensive because they aren’t based out of the metro-NYC area).

I don’t think you are paying “more” this seems like a GREAT deal.   I am usually not an advocate of package deals (photo and video) because teams are rarely good at both, but if you like the work an have seen sample videos, then that is fine.  What type of album are you getting?  Leather, flush mount?  Try and find out who makes it, album prices vary drastically.
