Hi bees! (Wasn’t sure where to post this thread… Hopefully I picked the right place!)
My wedding is a little over a year away, but my fiance and I are trying to get as much planned right now as possible! We’ve been looking at Photographers lately, and got a recommendation from a coworker for someone who does Photography, DJing, Wedding Planning/Coordinating, and also provides a photobooth for the reception. It sounds pretty awesome (and all of the reviews I’ve seen are phenomenal!), but I just want to make sure that it’s actually worth the price?
The things included in the wedding package are: An engagement shoot, unlimited hours of photography the day of the wedding, unlimited photo booth use during the reception, up to 8 hours of DJ services, digital copies of all photos, unlimited planning meetings prior the wedding, and a day-of coordinator to help everything run smoothly.
The price for all of those things is $6500. Is that a good deal? I feel dumb asking, but I genuinely don’t know! I’ve been doing research on how much DJs and Photographers cost on their own, and I’ve been finding photographers from anywhere from $3k to almost $6k on their own, and DJs mostly in the $1k-$2k range. So in theory I could spend less by hiring separate people on the lower end of the price range, but I really like the sound of the convenience of having it all in one package?

Great price, the only thing to consider is a lot of company’s that do this like The Pros Wedding through The Knot have great deals but the quality of each vendor may not be as high (or you may not mesh well with all of them, which is important with photographers and day of coordinators!) as you might get from booking separately and selecting each vendor yourself.

That’s basically what we are doing. I think ours was right around $8k. We booked a package which included: 2 photographers for 10 hours, Videography Pkg, 4 Hour Photo Booth Rental, DJ Package, Day of Coordinator, Onsite Hair and Makeup for bridal party, 3 Hour Party Bus Rental, Plus Engagement Session. I would say yours sounds like a good deal.

Sounds like a great deal! If their reviews are good and their style of photography is what you like, then I’d totally book them!!
I booked all of them separately and here’s what I paid (socal area)
photography (2 photogs + e session + 8 hours on day of): $4k
day of coordinator: $2k
