I’m not a huge fan of wedding favors, and tried realy hard to get Ellie to go along with the “Donation in lieu of” idea, but she wasn’t feeling it. I was able to get her to agree to double-duty escort card/favors for each couple/family by using these little frames:

My thought was to play around with our photo package to get some wallet-size prints & send them with our Thank You cards. This would mean however that all the thank yous go out after the wedding. I also recently thought it might be tacky to send a picture of Ellie & I rather than letting them choose their own picture for the frame.
If wallets didnt come in sheets, I’d consider sending inividual pictures of us with the person/couple/family, but that’s going to be really hard and expensive, so isn’t a viable option.
Thank you all SO mcuh for your insight!

I think its cute but nobody will put it up. My coordinator told me to not waste my moeny on anything that people can’t eat because they wont use it. Its true i have so many wine bottle toppers that never get used, i have never planted the seeds, played a cd or put up the framed photo. We are doing a candy buffett instead with cute burlap thank you bags (rustic theme wedding) that way its a dessert and a thank you 🙂

To be honest that frame doesn’t match my house at all so no I personally would toss it in a box and it would remain hidden and unused.
I agree with cluelessbride2b: I have more than my fair share of random favors that just go to waste. Unless it is food I probably won’t use it (although I personally love the idea of seeds, I’m a garden junkie).

@cluelessbride2b: I totally agree that edible favors are a very good idea. I think these are cute but I agree cute doesnt get used.

I usually just throw the favors in the back of my closet or a box if they are not edible.

If you are set on the frame and love it I say go for it. Like a lot of other ladies here I think that would probably just collect dust in my house though. I like your idea of using the escort card as a favor. There are ways of doing edible favors that way if you go that route. You can pick something that is wrapped (or can be easily wrapped) and attatch the escort card. For example: when I was planning a spring wedding there were really cute butterfly and bumblebee candies that I found at a local chocolate shop. I was going to tie the escort card around one of the wings on each candy.

The frame is cute. It doesn’t matter if it matches anyone’s decor or not since everyone has something that is mismatched somewhere in their home.

Honestly, I wouldn’t want that frame and unless you were immediate family, I wouldn’t want to display your wedding photo in my home. Why not just skip favors? Most people won’t even notice.
