I am thinking of something unique for my wedding reception that would keep guests busy while they are waiting for everyone to be seated for dinner. My idea is to have blank pieces of paper, crayons and markers at each table and ask our guests to draw their favorite memory that they have of the bride and groom on the paper. They could write a little story with the picture or something but then at the end of the night we would collect the papers and put them together in a book for us to keep.
Is this a good idea or is it just childish???

i like it a lot! but if you’re worried about it being seen as childish, just leave the crayons out 😉

maybe you could incorporate this into your guestbook? My guestbook pages were similar to this. I have them posted in the DIY section right now if you want to see.

My cousin’s wedding had something similar to this during the cocktail hour. They had little activity books with a wordsearch they made and a crossword puzzle and a bride and groom coloring picture, etc. It was fun to have something to do until the dinner started. I didn’t think it was childish but if you’re having a more formal wedding it might seem out of place.
