So I’ve done a little bit of research, but I wanted to see what you bees thought:
My mom’s friend is acting as DOC (she does it semi-professionally), and only charging her $200. I thought a $25 would be fine?
We aren’t having a traditional sit down dinner or buffet, we’re having heavy hors d’oevres. A gentleman that my mom knows has his own company. There will be two bartenders, 4 servers, and a master chef. We are prepping most of the food ourselves, and they will be there from 1-10 to help set up, prepare the rest of what needs done, put the plates together, and obviously bartend. It’s $1635 for all of this. I thought $30 a piece? I did $1635 x 10%, then divided that by 7 people…? That came out to $23 something something so I rounded up. They are not providing plates and all that, we’re going with NICE plastic ware, so they will have to clean up but it’s mostly throwing out stuff I guess.
Then, our photographers own their own business. It’s just her and her husband. I thought about tipping them $25 anyway.
Then I will have a hairstylist and MUA, and I thought they would probably both get $20 each. I am not requiring my girls to get their hair done, so if they do, they would be responsible for paying/tipping. (I would gift it but I’ve got other gifts already)
To sum: 7 servers/chef/bartender: $30 a piece, photographer $25, DOC $25, and hairstylist/MUA both get $20 a piece. Yay or nay?
