A friend did engagement pics recently and recommended her photographer. It’s $300 for 90 minutes, at least 50 edited images on a USB and print release, and I like her photos. It seems good to me, but we are just starting to plan and don’t really know what reasonable costs are for things like this.

Most photographers we looked at that didn’t include engagement pics in the overall package were between $300-$500. Seems like a pretty fair price to me.

Sometimes your wedding photographer will include an engagement session in your package. I do think $300 is a good price, but 90 minutes seems fast? I’m not sure, we haven’t done ours yet so I don’t know hiw long it should take.

That seems fair. Our engagement photos were included in our package, but our photographer charged $250 as an add-on, so $300 definitely seems within the range of normal. Ours was about the same amount of time, maybe even a little less. I definitely don’t think you need any longer, unless you are traveling a fair distance between multiple locations or something!

That sounds like a good price to me! 50 photos is a lot.

I think that is an excellent price, coming from another photographer. Especially since it includes the USB and print release.

Great price. Around here $400-$500 is pretty normal, so I see it as a good deal 🙂

That sounds good to me! Ours were also 90 min, but we’re $600. We were in Hawaii so maybe that’s why? We got about 50 edited images, but total about 200, and print release!

jmsk12: $250-550 is pretty average prices, depending on the photographer. A good deal is subjective, because it honestly just depends on what you get and the quality of work. $350 for an ok photographer might be a bad deal, while $400 for an amazing photographer might be a steal.
