My girlfriend had her wedding few months ago and is selling some stuff from it.
I am in need of few things and asked to see what she has and if i can buy it to incorporate it in my decor.
So here are the things.
I am plannign to take the ribbon off and apply lace instead and put candles in them
But need to know if what she is asking for below is good deal.
She is asking 100$ for 11 vases and 50 votive candles with holders.

I think you can definitely order those things online for cheaper.

I agree. They look like dollar tree items anyway, and you can buy from them in bulk cheaper.

I think you can get them alot cheaper..say at Dollarama or maybe even Walmart

Really? I feel like I see the top vases going for way more than that. Assuming that’s a standard roll of duct tape, I’ve never seen a vase that size for available at the dollar store.

seems like a lot, online is better and sometimes ikea is really good

The top vase would be more expensive than anything else, but I still don’t see this as a good price. As other’s have said, at least some of this could easily be found at a dollar store. Like these.

Check the prices online. Check the prices of the stuff you’ll need to buy to change them. If you can get them cheaper at that point, then you can negotiate with her…so you’ll be getting what you want and help her out at the same time!

I went to Dollarama and found similiar cases to 2 & 3, maybe not as good of a quality (a bit thinner). I did see those (2 & 3) vases in Michaels store for aprox 20$ each ….. I am planning to wrap lace around them and put candles in it so not sure if the quality matters…. what do you think ?
I assume online and Ikea would be cheaper for votives maybe too…
Online would end up being the same thing once shipping is included so I’d have to find the items in a store to save.
As for the top vase, i didn’t see it anywhere but it’s also not a necessity. I am planning to have a bowl with rocks so people can write their messages on rocks and place them in a decorative vase (didn’t post one) as our guest list keepsake.

I think you’re smart to get them on your own. The votives should be easy to find as well. I don’t think the thickness matters all that much, as long as you experiment and burn the kind of candle you’ll be using to see how it goes…and it doesn’t crack!
If she’s your friend, why doesn’t she just let you borrow them?
