@Meemz81:  Sounds pretty good to me.

My bridal boquet was $150 and my girls were each $75. So your birdal boquet is more than mine was, but your Bridesmaid or Best Man boquets were much less.

Same as @KatNYC2011

My bouquet was only (“only,” ha) $150, but then the BMs were more expensive than yours are. So overall it turned out to be about the same. Sounds like a fair deal.

@KatNYC2011: My flower prices were the same as yours.

I think this quote sounds really reasonable. Hydrangeas aren’t going to lessen your costs unfortunately.

I’m going to meet with my florist, and I’m having the same dilemma…what is the norm for flowers!??!  I think that it sounds reasonable.  What about any other flowers that might be in season that could be used as fillers??

@Meemz81:  I agree with PPs – my bouquet is less than yours ($150) but my bridesmaids’ bouquets are more ($50), so it pretty much evens out.  I think it’s a good quote.  If it makes you feel more comfortable, get a second or third quote from other florists in the area.  That’s what I did after my first quote (that I thought I would end up going with), and I actually changed to one of the other florists.

That seems like a pretty good price. But are you getting any flowers for the mother’s, father’s, grandmother’s, and grandfather’s? To cut down costs you could just have your bouquet, and girls bouquets done by florist, and have corsages, and boutineers done by your local grocery store florist (if available). I am sure they will come out just as nice those simple things are pretty hard to screw up.

Seems fair…I am going to spend about $450 on 1 bridal bouquet….3 bridesmaid bouquets….1 toss bouquet…6 bouts and 2 corsages….all will consist of mostly cream roses.  This is from a vendor who runs their business out of their home.  Hope that helps!

I used to work in the industry and think it’s completely reasonable.  Your bouquet is maybe a teeny bit much but spraying that hydrangea is a pain and callas are often over ordered to ensure that they can make a full enough bouquet.  Your florist will have to order quite a few more callas to make sure there are ones that are good enough to be stand alone bouquets for the bridesmaids.  Everything else is completely reasonable.

I think the quote is pretty good! Your bouquet may be a little more than average but your Bridesmaid or Best Man bouquets are grrrreat so I say go for it 🙂 It’s so hard buying this stuff because it’s not like we go around buying bridal flowers every weekend so we can gage what a good price is…lol

Is that just the charge for the flowers or does it include fees for the labor? I’m asking because I had someone offer to do my flowers and she is charging me the cost of the flowers plus $300 for labor and transporation. Does this sound resonable?

It sounds fair in the total although the bridal seems very high?
