I’ve never seen that done … not sure I like the idea of it either.

Never heard of that, unless they did a private photog session!

Was the bridal party missing too?

What did you do in the mean time?

Whoa. I’ve never seen that done, and I’d be pretty unhappy if I did. Seems rude to abandon your guests during the early/middle part of the reception. After all, they are all there for you!

I’ve never seen that before but I’m not a fan. If you want to eat alone then have a sweetheart table.

that’s weird.. have never seen it.. all weddings I been to they bride & groom eat at a special table, usually they’re the center of attention.. i know my Future Mother-In-Law would kill us if we disappeared haha she’s making us greet every guest!

I have heard the tradition where a couple tries to leave the reception for a quickie w/o being caught.

I have heard of people doing that so they can have some alone time and eat their meal together without being interupted, but I have never seen it.

That’s weird to me. Isn’t the whole point of a wedding reception to share a meal with your friends and family to celebrate your day?

Weird!  I wouldn’t like that, either.  Must have been pictures – OR – were they a “waiting until marriage” couple?  Maybe they just couldn’t wait anymore. 😉

Interesting!! I’ve never heard of that before.  Seems kind of rude to me.
