This is my first cycle off of bc and I thought I’d pick up some OPKs just to see if my cycles were regulating. I’ve been on bc for over 10 years so I have this irrational fear that it will be hard for me to conceive.
I’m 10 days into my cycle so I thought I’d take a test, and to me it seems positive, but the box says that if the test line is lighter than the control line it’s negative. To me it looks a teeny bit lighter… How specific does that need to be? I’m new to all this and we’re not going to start trying for a few months but I’m trying to figure it all out.

kb7: Looks like you are a whisper away from positive. If I were TTC, this result would probably have BDing just in case.

I’d test again in a few hours, but I would consider that extremely close to a positive and as the previous poster said, go BD! hehe

I would say it probably is- I haven’t gotten a positive yet and my negatives are really effing clearly negative. You may have diluted urine and that’s why it’s not super dark.

That’s really close to a positive, so I’m calling that a positive. Likely, in a few hours your LH surge will peak but it’s a matter of hours. Once your LH peaks, most women ovulate within 12-36 hours.

Hey I agree with MaggieF:
keep BDing and testing, the next test or so could be darker, depends on the brand and that particular strip. Best of luck
