I’m brand new to this. I explained my situation yesterday here:
New to this… any possibility?
At that time, I thought I O’d already, however now I’m not quite sure. I bought OPKs yesterday and am trying to figure this all out. I know you are supposed to plan all of this BEFORE, but I’m seeing if I can figure anything out with a little detective work. I BDed on 3/3 (CD17). Took the first OPK, which I believe was negative yesterday (CD18). Today I took another one ‘just in case’ (CD19), and it looks like it COULD be positive (there is definitely a darker line than there was yesterday.) Could you guys look at these pics and let me know what you think? I am planning on charting from now on. Here are my questions:
1) Is this a positive OPK?
2) If I BD on CD17 and O on CD19-20, is there any possibility of fertilization??

To me, it looks like you are about to surge. Typically the way you can tell that an OPK is fully a positive is when the test line is darker than the control line.
There is a chance of fertilization because sperm can live up to 5 days, but it get slimmer with each passing day, it’s best to BD the day before and the day of O’ing. Best of luck dear!!

i agree with PP. that’s pretty clost to a positive so it’s very likely you’ll get a positive very soon. if you BD on CD17 and O on CD19/20, you can get pregnant but if you want to have a better chance of getting pregnant, BD today and tomorrow also. good luck!

@calibee79: +1! It looks close, I bet your next opk will be a true positive. Bd the day of your + opk and two days after if you are able 😉

I agree with StaceyA, just a smidgens ( yeah I said smidgens) more and it should be positive, I’d BD either today or tomorrow.
