I am new to the ttc family. My husband and I took a late honeymoon to Europe a few weeks ago and started ttc. We werent super strict with the “every other day” schedule or trying around ovulation. We just decided to have fun with it for the first month, just to see what would happen. I have very irregular periods, usually very long cycles (36-40 days), so knowing when I ovulate is hard to say. Anyways, I am still 10 days away from what I think should be my next period. My breasts have been very tender, which is abnormal this early, so I said what the heck, and took a pregnancy test (knowing its way too early for a test). Anyways, am I the only one who sees a very faint vertical line? Could it be positive? Just wanted to get some opinions of more experiences bees.

I see a second line, without squinting. It definately looks positive, but blue dye tests are notorius for false positives. I’d confirm with a pink dye test to be sure. Good luck!!

I think i see something but I’m honestly not sure.
Get either a pink dye or a digital and try in the morning with FMU.
Blue dye tests blow.

I don’t trust the blue dye tests, so I would buy a pink dye FRER and retest!

Okay thanks. I will do that! I didnt know there was a difference between pink & blue lol. I appreciate the feedback!

Blue dye tests give a lot of false positives (I got 1) get a FRER they come in a 2 or 3 pack and the website has $2 off coupons and re-test

I see a faint second line. I tested positive early too but I did a first response test. After many of those to confirm, I felt the need to confirm with other brands. With a clear positive on a digital, my clear blue test looked faint just like yours. And I’m 21 weeks pregnant now! Fingers crossed for you!

Never ever trust a blue dye test. I don’t even know why they’re sold anymore.
Use a pink FRER (first response). Good luck!

I definitely see a faint line, I would just wait 2-4 more days and take another test to be sure.
Good Luck 🙂
What is the difference between the pink and the blue lines?

Were you on birth control before you started ttc? Just asking because it can cause changes in your cycle, specifically what you feel in the two weeks or so after you ovulate. Breast tenderness was one of those things for me. I played with the image in photoshop to see if I could get the line to darken and I couldn’t so I’m voting negative. 10 days before a period is due would normally be way to early to test, but with your irregular cycles, you have no idea if/when you ovulated so it’s even harder to tell. I’d wait a few more days and test again with a First Response Early Result.

I also don’t trust faint lines on these one bit, especially if what’s showing appeared after the 5 minutes….FRER all the way! Good luck!

I suggest a digital. I really can’t tell.

I can see the line, but as PP have said, get a pink dye test/First Response. Good luck!
