So there’s a groupon right now for Delphine invitations. I’m looking at the pricing for letterpress invitations and for a package including invitations, RSVP cards and unprinted envelopes it’s $1300 for 100 sets. With the Groupon it would bring it down to $800.
Is that a good deal? Or are there better deals to be found on minted.com or vista print?

Holy crap! How many people are you inviting? I thought $200 was a bit much for what I’m looking for!!

@Tphan: I spent about $400 total for my invites, pocket folds, RSVP cards and one insert card. I got my pocket folds at cardsandpockets.com and everything else through weddingpaperdivas.com.

If you want letterpress, yes, that’s a good deal. Letterpress is costly. Does VistaPrint even do stuff as nice as letterpress for invivtations?

It depends… Are these invites fabulous? I fell in love with these elaborate invites that are in that price range. It’s a complete suite though.
What do they look like?

Sounds a little pricey. For letter-pressed invites I got quoted $400 for 80 invitation suites.

@Omgbunnies: it’s a small-ish wedding where we’ll only have 120 max but we have a family and orients over seas who we’ll be sending invitations to so I’ll need 100 invites.
@lealorali: Where did you get that quote?

@Tphan: that seems a bit steep imo. i would definitely shop around more.

holy smokes! If you can afford it, go for it. But I got fab invites from weddingpaperdivas for under 500

@lealorali: Seriously, where?! The least expensive letterpress invites I’ve found have still been close to $700!

I don’t think it’s too bad, but keep in mind there are other expenses with invitations. I’m looking at about $600 for 100 Thermography invites (including RSVP card, information card, lined envelopes, and return address labeling) from Wedding Paper Divas. Then another $150 for calligraphied addresses, and another $100 on postage.

I got 75 invites that were exactly what I wanted for less than $250. at the end of the day, even if your invites are amazing, it’s still a piece of paper that most of your guests will throw out or misplace. I am paying $1300 for two professional photographers and could never imagine spending that much on invites, but it’s your call 🙂

I’d say it depends on your overall budget and priority. If it’s in buget and lettpress or a custom design is important you, then go for it. However, there are tons of websites that do beautiful invitations for quite a bit less. You’ll have to do what’s right for you.
