I think that’s a great idea!  I love guestbook alternatives… we had photo frames with thick matting, and asked guests to sign / write us a message on the matting, so we have two of our favourite wedding photos framed in our living room with all our guests messages / names surrounding them.

At my dad’s wedding I had different coloured paper all cut out in different shapes and asked people to write a message to them – I plan to frame it for them for their anniversary, and hopefully they’ll love it!

i wouldn’t ask people to write their own addresses. the bride and groom already have everyone’s addresses from the invitation list. other than that, it’s fine.

It’s def. not tacky. I love the idea of having people write little ‘advice cards’ for the couple, that they can use in their own way.

I agree that the address part is a little strange, but the rest of it is awesome 🙂

I’ve been to a wedding that did this, I thought it was cute and more personalized than a guestbook!

I think it’s a great idea!!! I’m having vintage postcards with stamps on them and i made them look really old, and people are going to put them in an old chest. i found a great template that asks the guests to write wishes and advice for the bride and groom.

My postcards look something like this:

I’m having cigar boxes and postcards on each table for the guests to sign.
