I think this is a very beautiful gown, and I might have said “oh ya” when you showed it to me. Saying “oh ya” is not a bad thing. When I say it, I mean it in a very good way; like “Wow, what a beautiful gown!!!” Without seeing it on you though, I can’t give an opinion on whether or not it suits you. I am sure it is very beautiful on you though. Congratulations on your weight loss so far. I know you can lose the rest, so you should be fine ๐Ÿ™‚

I think this dress is so much more than an “oh ya” It’s fricken gorgeous! Like noritake22 said, we can’t tell if it suits you without seeing it on you. But even with that, I think it’s a wonderful dress and deserves a little more of a reaction ๐Ÿ™‚

It’s a spiffing gown as we say in England! (That means excellent, great, stylish, fantastic etc by the way)

Listen, when I first started showing dress pics to my nearest and dearest their comments where things like “you look like a mummy” (the Egyptian dead for thousands of years kind of mummy), “didn’t the cartoon figure Amazon woman wear something just like that” and so on. Unless you’re really into wedding dresses or you have been to at least a couple of stores to see dress in real life most people won’t have a clue what to say. I wouldn’t worry about it, and in the end, it doesn’t matter what your Maid/Matron of Honor thinks as long as you love the dress.

i think its a gorgeous gown! i myself would never order a dress without having tried it on. but now that i have tried on so many dresses, i can look at that one and tell you the waistline will have a positive slimming effect, and the flowiness of the skirt will hide anything you might be self-conscious about below the waist. so i think you are safe. and in general i think it is such a beautiful gown! totally my style! it gets an “oh wow!” from me  ๐Ÿ™‚

The gown is gorgeous and if you love it don’t let other peoples opinions get to you.

I think it’s an absolutely gorgeous gown.  I’ve actually never seen anything like it, which makes it even more beautiful to me!  Maybe she reacted like that because she can’t picture it on you.  I think once you get the gown in and try it on she’ll have a better reaction!  And “oh ya” might not be a bad reaction.  I definitely wouldn’t second guess it because of what she said.

I have no idea how anyone could “Oh Ya” a dress that looks like that!  WOW it’s beyond stunning.  It’s a breathtaking, leave you speechless sort of dress – but in a good way.  I hope it works out for you.  Any pics?
