Is this appropriate?

I have zero issues with it for a wedding and think it’s lovely (especially because you said it was a little longer on you). I would wear it.

I think that black and red dress is super cute on you and a great option for the wedding. You could bring two pairs of shoes and various jewelry to make it more or less fancy.

Btw, I am also short and curvy, and a dress that stops at the top of the knee is the most flattering (elongating) length for me. You may want to try that length and see what you think.

Im sorry bee, I dont think this attire is appropriate for a wedding.

Try to look for something that is softer. I’m not sure what the bride has listed for attire, but if you think a romper is appropriate, they have ones that have an overlay on top of the shorts which makes it look like a long whimiscal dress.

The black and red dress in the midi length is very cute and very appropriate. I think it would be perfect.

The second jumpsuit fits you well and looks nice, but it photographs even more white than the stock pictures show. I do think it is cute, just not for the wedding – but since you said you weren’t wearing it anyway, I guess it doesn’t matter. I just think maybe you should keep it for something else!

liksye.liksye :  Nope. Don’t try to deflect. A lot can be said for someone who apologizes when they’re wrong.

Sorry bee I definitely wouldn’t wear the playsuit! You said it was longer on you than the model, in fact I’m pretty sure you said 2 INCHES above your knee! Honestly it looks even shorter on you, and it looks like it rides up and becomes even shorter.  I just don’t think that is appropriate for a wedding, its more of a night out look imo.

You can wear something slightly more conservative and flowy without getting too hot.  Often a longer dress with lighter fabric is cooler than shorts and a restrictive top anyway.

Thank you for sharing actual pics. The romper is not an appropriate choice as a wedding guest.

I disagree about the 3″ above the knee being most flattering. I think you look great in the knee length version of the black and red dress–easier to arrange a hem than to search for a new dress? You can easily dress it up or down with your accessories.

I like the black and red dress best. I like knee length and short one on you.

zzar45 :  I think you didnt read the comments about the pictures lol. On her it is much longer than on the model.

OP – I like the knee length dress on you! I agree that the midi length is super awkward, and I think the above the knee is a bit too short; maybe just above the knee would be nice though.

I actually love the black and red dress as a midi dress on you. The other lengths are fine too, but the midi elongates you the most. I’m about the same height as you and I think midis & maxis are really flattering on shorter women, especially if worn with nude strappy heels.
