@jphn:  I would go with the pinkish purple one with the tights. That color is gorgeous!

@jphn:  Both of the dress styles are cute and def appropriate. The second one looks really light to me. I thought it was white before you said it was mint so I wouldnt go with that color.

I like 1 better then 2 for an evening wedding, since it seems to be a bit more formal. Super cute dresses!

The first one would be best. It’s very pretty! Maybe add some evening jewelry with it.

In low lighting the second one will look like white.

@jphn:  I like the pink/purple one. The mint one is very light and looks white. I know not everyone follows that rule, but if, as a guest, you are sensitive to whether or not you want to look like you are wearing white, then I would definitely go for the first.

Definitely the first one. The second is too close to white and the Peter Pan collar makes it too informal.

@jphn:

Yes, they’re both quite cute and appropriate.  I really love that mint dress and think it would be perfect for a Spring evening wedding.

Is the dress code reasonably casual?

I would say both are appropriate for weddings with more casual/looser dress codes.

The pink one says nighttime/indoor and would look great with some opaque or patterned tights, and the second one says morning/outdoor to me.

While mint is my fave color I think the purple one would be more appropriate for an evening event. They’re both very pretty though.
