I’m 5’1″ and around 120 lbs so curvy, full C cups… I’m wearning 5″ heels in the picture I’m standing on the floor.
It’s a Mori Lee, and it’s a prom dress I think, but I fell in love with the pink details. But now I’m not sure, am I too curvy and short in it? After all I see and hear everywhere for curvy and/or short girls ball gowns are no-no!
I loved a trumpet style one too and that really showed off my curves, I was very sexy in it, I think. But it was not so comfortable. And I don’t want to take off and take on the whole dress everytime I have to pee…
I tried a few A-lines, but I looked horrible in those. I don’t know why. They say A-line is good for everyone. Well not for me.
Now I’m considering buying this one but I don’t know… While I was there, looking in the mirror, turning, moving a bit up and down, I felf wonderful. But looking at the pictures for over 3 days now, I don’t know. 😀
The groom is 6’4″ 209 pounds, athletic, if that helps.
Please tell me what do you think? Should I look further?

The way the ballgown fits on you actually makes you look taller than you are. Are you wearing heels? Either way, the gown does not have the shortening effect that some gowns do. You look lovely!
ETA: I see that you put that you are wearing high inch heels but are standing on the floor. At my first interpretation I thought that meant you were standing on the floor in this picture, but would be wearing 5″ heels the day of. I see now that it not the case. I do think it would still be fine with 4 inch heels but anything under that may be unflattering.

@Lutie: Are you planning on wearing 5″ heels the day of your wedding? If yes, then I think you could get away with this dress. If no, then I fear that you might look like your drowning in fabric. I’m 5’3″, curvy, and looked like I was drowning in fabric when I tried on ballgowns. If you really love that dress in particular you can always have some of the tulle layers removed to make it less poufy.

i think you look great. if you are going to be wearing 5″ heels like in the picture, perfect.
it’s really all about how you feel in the dress that makes the difference.
