Er… why would you want to? Yeah, I’d say so.

@Pappy8:  a picture of JUST you? Yes. I think that’s pretty full of yourself. I alternate between a pic of SO & I at the beach and my nephew. I pick those because they make me happiest. If I was happiest with a picture of just me… I guess good for me, but yes that’s kind of full of yourself.

Who really sees your phone background though? I’m the only one that really sees mine so Idk who would be able to think if I was if I had a pic up of just myself. If you are looking over my shoulder and into my phone then shame on that person. Lol

My phone backgound is a picture of my kitty (actually it’s the same pic as my avatar)…because she’s awesome and SO and I are mildly crazy cat people

I guess I don’t necessarily think it means you’re full of yourself but I do think it’s a little strange…

@Pappy8:  Maybe the person put the picture on to remind them of a time when they were happy, or it’s a picture that makes them happy. It’s a little different I guess, I have a photo of SO and I on my locked screen, and a photo of my awesome bird on the background screen. There are photos I like of myself, but none that I would put on my own screen to look at – I see myself enough!

If it’s a glamour shot then I think it’s weird haha. But if it’s you standing at the top of a mountain or something special that’s happened in your life then I think that has emotional meaning. So no, not in that case.

If you like the photo, it’s kind of no one else’s business what you have as your phone background… I don’t see anything wrong with it. Sometimes it’s not about being full of yourself, it’s about reminding yourself that you DO like yourself. We’re constantly surrounded by media – both advertisement and editorial – that tells us to hate ourselves, to never feel like we’re good enough. If having a nice photo of yourself on your phone helps you combat that and like yourself, I don’t think there should be some stigma there.

I think it’s pretty odd…there’s a gal at my work who has a bunch of framed photographs of herself on vacation, and I just think it’s so weird lol. I get that they were cool destinations and all, but throw one of your husband in there or something!

@Pappy8:  I voted that it depends.  If it was something like @RedPandas mentioned (a picture of yourself doing something awesome, like standing at the top of a mountain or a picture that held some specific meaning because it represented a special time in your life), I wouldn’t think twice about it.  If it was a “selfie” or something like that, I’d probably wonder why that person chose that picture for their phone background.  Though, to be honest, I don’t notice a lot of phone background pictures, so I might not even see it.

Since others are sharing, my phone background picture is my favorite black and white photo of Elliott Smith.

@Pappy8:  lol now I’m curios how this could get heated.  This seems like a non issue.
