I think it’s too close to white for attending others wedding.

sherylki: I think it’s too close to white so I wouldn’t wear it, but other than that it’s a really nice dress! Does it come in other colors? Maybe more like a pastel pink or mint green since it’s a spring wedding?

WAY too close to white – and far too short as well. Not appropriate IMO.

I would not wear that to a wedding. Way too white/ivory/bridal looking.

Cute, but the color is not appropriate.

Hard to say. On my computer, the dress reads pale pink or tan. If that’s the case in real life, it is just fine. If it really looks white or ivory, I’d say no.

If you have to ask…

I think this one’s pretty obvious. Too white, too short

Everyone should remember that more than likely the dress won’t be that short on a regular person, since the tall models tend to make the dresses look really short.

I think that color is just too risky. How about either of these? They are fit and flare, like the one you like. They are also available at Nordstrom, and cheaper than the one you like.

http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/kensie-daisy-brocade-fit-flare-dress/3911933?origin=keywordsearch
http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/everly-rowan-v-neck-skater-dress/4007404?origin=keywordsearch Available in different colors.

@sherylki this is a very cute dress. love the back and the big bow tie. cute one.

this dress is simple and gorgeous. if i’m the bride, dont really care much about what im attendees wearing as long as it is formal and nice. and this dress is absolutely fine because it’s totally amazing and gorgeous. 🙂

The other thing I would add is that while the bride may not care, other guests might; and do you really want to be talked about for the wrong reasons?

One of OH’s cousins wore a short white dress to ours. I wasn’t particularly bothered (even though I suspect she did it to be ‘rude’), but other people were bothered, and commented/slagged her off. So for that reason I personally would always steer clear of white, or anything resembling white (ivory/cream/etc).

I didn’t care much about the color of what my guests wore. But I am also from a different culture. I remember when I was a child the only thing innapropriate was to wear a white ballgown. But here on the boards now it seems all the light colors are kind of off limits. As some of us brides move from the traditional white ballgown and choose other colors, styles and even short dresses, we keep narrowing our guest dress options! Lol

I mean, a few friends that were not from the island were shocked that some people were wearing light colored short dresses At my wedding. And were even more shocked there was a friend of mine wearing a long red dress. I was like really? O.o red is innapropriate for you too? I explained it’s not the case at all here.

I don’t know. To me if someone is at our wedding, they are very clear on who the bride and groom are. As long as they don’t attempt to wear my exact dress all is good 😛
