I got a super sweet deal on this dress today at the thrift, plan on wearing it to our rehearsal dinner. I started thinking about it and thought maybe I could wear it to FH’s cousins wedding a few months after ours. I wouldnt want to step on any toes, I personally wouldn’t be offended but I am pretty laid back too. What do you think?

It wouldn’t bother me personally, but I probably wouldn’t wear it honestly. Too risky I think.

stlkennedy92 : Sorry Bee, completely inappropriate. It is white, never risk white even for the most laid back person you know (unless it is a white wedding).

I probably wouldn’t tbh. Silver sequins can easily read as white.
Great rehearsal dinner dress. For the same reason it’s not a great bridal guest dress.

I’m usually fine with most of the guest dresses that bees post here asking about, but not this one.
This dress doesn’t just have a summery white background with something like a floral print all over it. It’s clearly a white dress that has a lot of sparkle added to it to draw even more attention to the person wearing it.
The fact that you’ve chosen this dress to wear to your own rehearsal dinner underscores the fact that you think it is reflective of something bridal-related.
Even though you clearly won’t be mistaken for the bride at this other wedding, I think this dress is just not something that you should wear to someone else’s wedding.

I agree with PP, the reasons you’re wearing it for a rehearsal dinner is the reasons you shouldn’t wear it to someone else’s wedding a few months later

Nope, sorry far too white and sparkly.

If it had some color in it but white and silver you risk pissing off the bride.
