leonatigra: oh no not at all! you are right it is a little confusing! Unfortunately it is a zip up dress and so if she takes it in lower down the smallest bit wont get over my ribs see pic… which is why I am reluctant to take it back.
It is a San Patrick… 2012? style: Rhumba… I was super lucky to find it and got a massive discount as it had been waiting in the shop for me for 3 years!!! I should have done a poll. I am going to try it tomorrow with all the suggestions here and then maybe call the seamstress and see if I have any options. I really do love this dress and cant wait to wear it… 4 weeks to go already! Thank-you so much for your kind words and suggestions I really appreciate it 🙂

I think a lot of it is your proportions, as others have said. I’m 5’7″ with a long torso, and dresses rarely fit me well–I swear my boobs aren’t saggy, they’re just lower on my chest! I ended up picking a sleeveless dress with a cowl neck, so it isn’t too obvious, but my chest is NOT in the cups. I can’t decide, though, if your dress looks a bit “off” compared to the model (I do feel like I want to yank it up, visually) because your proportions are just different, or if your different proportions mean the bodice isn’t long enough on the dress. I do think there’s not a ton you could do about it at this point, and you still look beautiful in it! Guests never notice this stuff the way we do.

the dress looks great on you and in some pictures it looks too low but in some it looks fine. The photo of you in it with your hair down it doesn’t seem too low but then with your hair up it looks too low…so I agree with maybe some tulle sleeves if YOU feel uncomfortable in it. Ive learned the hard way that if you aren’t comfortable in what you are wearing and you dont want to transpose that into photos!!
Side note…galloping on horse back?! *drooling* You must share pictures afterwards 🙂

I think its too low, sorry, can’t agree with other pp’s. The neckline should start under your armpits, and not on the top of your boobs. Is the bodice too short? It could be. You should go back to your seamstress to see what can be done

I think you probably have a longer distance from top of shoulders to bust, I am short and that is my really short measurement. The dress looks to hit bust at the right spot. I think the distance looks greater when your hair is up compared to when it’s down. Are you planning to wear a necklace at all? That would decrease the amount of skin showing and draw attention up from bust line

spacediamonds: i think because your hair is pulled back and you have no jewlery give the illusion that its low or that you are showing too much, if you wear your hair down or wear a necklace it won’t feel low- does this make sense? lol
your dress is gorgeous btw

I did think it looked a bit low in the first picture, but zoomed out, it looks fine. Someone previous mentioned it, but I think because of your body type and chest size, you can pull off a lower sitting dress. I’d personally opt for either a necklace or hair down, just to fill some of the gap. It is a very pretty dress!
