I actually think that dress is freakin adorable. I want to be your bridesmaid.I would just get cups sewed in or something. I love backless gowns.

I think this is a question you need to ask your BM’s. It’s a pretty dress, but if your girls have anything more than a B or C cup, it’s probably a no go. I’m a DD, and this would be a definite no for me, no matter how pretty it was, because I couldn’t wear a bra and the dress doesn’t seem fitted enough to offer support.

PPs have brought up this point, but I’m going to elaborate further. Not only are girls with a large chest likely to have a problem with not being able to wear a bra, but it’s also possible that other girls would too. I don’t have even a moderate-size chest by any definition, but I still have never and will never go braless anywhere outside my own house. You need to make sure everyone is comfortable with the dress, whether they wear an A cup or a G.

As for matching, I wouldn’t personally want my bridesmaid dresses to match the details of my dress, I would want them to be different in a way that doesn’t clash. However, to each her own, and I think the details look fine together if matching is what you prefer.

I like the dress but it’s the exact same cut and material as yours. I’d go with something a little different. You don’t want them to matchy match you.

No, they are not “too sexy.” But in order to pull off that dress, all the bridesmaids will have to have lean/muscular backs (i.e. no “back fat”), no tan lines, and no need of bra support. That’s a little too much to ask of them unless they unanimously approve of the dress.

The matchy-matchiness doesn’t bother me.

I LOVE the Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses, and no way are they too sexy IMO, BUT, I think they’re too similar to your dress personally; I think a different colour or fabric would work better.

@LucyLaLa: As someone with an average bust size, I would NEVER want to wear a dress that didn’t allow me to wear a bra at a WEDDING, of all places. Not only will they be getting plenty of attention, being the bridesmaids, but they will likely want to dance and dancing without a bra is highly uncomfortable. Also, depending on the individual, “headlights” could play a big problem. I understand that there are stick-on options to cover one’s self, but I would definitely speak with your BMs about a dress that, in my opinion, is not a dress that looks very comfortable for longer or formal wear.

Sorry, voted wrong (chose not really), I thought the poll question was the title of the thread. I do think they look very similar, and no they arent too sexy. But I really agree with bohosioux about the bra issue, unless your bridesmaids all already own bras for backless/open backdresses.

I think it’s a beautiful dress but I personally would never wear backless. For me, I would not want a Bridesmaid or Best Man dress to match my dress so closely.
