Thats plenty! Actually, I think you could probably nix a passed app or two and still be good. We had a 2 displayed apps (imported cheese & crudite with dip) and 2 passed apps (beef hibachi skewers and wild musroom risotto) and it was more than enough. Your guests are going to be eating a large meal soon after so there’s no need to over do the cocktail hour and spoil their appetite.

I’m hoping thats enough because that’s very similar to the amount of food that we’ve booked for our cocktail hour!  Our venue coordinator said that there should be two stations and then approximately 5 passed appetizers per person.  So we are expecting 100 people and are going to have about 500 pieces ordered.

That’s plenty – we had 2 stationary displays and 3 passed and it was fine!

We are only having the cheese and crudite station you mentioned. I just couldn’t see spending more on appetizers. Because of thway packages are offered at the venue, it would have increased the price $15 per person… NO WAY! I love them, but no. Cocktail hour may end up being more like 45 minutes, so I think they’ll be ok since our wedding isn’t until 6pm

When there was TONS of food at cocktail hour, I barely touched dinner or dinner was terrible. I’d rather enjoy dinner.

yeah I attended a wedding that had so much food at the cocktail hour so we all thought that was it, and we ate til we were full, then they led us to the dinner and I was like “wait theres more?”

It sounds like more than enough, and it sounds very tasty, I would love to be a guest there!

Yikes, I hope that’s more than enough!  We’re just doing three dips/spreads, different types of bread/crackers, and roasted veggies for our cocktail hour…  Our caterer said that was plenty because we don’t want people filling up before dinner.  But this post is making me worried that people will think it’s not enough…

This is a lot compared to what I have seen at other weddings
